About
Exploring the Muckleshoot Educational Experience
Hello, my name is Ryan Wilson, an Educational Leadership doctoral candidate attending classes in the Muckleshoot Cohort — a partnership between Muckleshoot Tribal College and the University of Washington Tacoma.
I’m inviting current educators and past graduates of the Muckleshoot Tribal School to participate in this research study.
Purpose of This Study
This study explores how the inclusion of Muckleshoot Culture within the school
curriculum influences student outcomes. We aim to understand how educators bring Culture into classrooms and how that shapes the experiences and successes of Muckleshoot graduates.
What Participation Involves
You may be asked to take part in one or more of the following

60-minute in-person or Zoom interview

Survey about attitudes and beliefs surrounding Culture in classrooms

Demographic questionnaire
Compensation:
Participants who complete all parts of the study — interview, survey, and questionnaire will receive a $50 Amazon.com Gift Card as a thank-you. All survey participants will also be entered into a raffle for a gift basket (valued up to $400).
A Note of Care
We understand that conversations about education and cultural history may bring up difficult emotions. Psychological= support resources will be made available to all participants if needed.
